My Journey Began in Nature

I was born in Bhishnoor, a small village in Narkhed Taluka of Nagpur district.

Unlike people who grow up surrounded by concrete buildings, my childhood was surrounded by farms, trees, open skies, and fresh air.

Nature was not something we visited during holidays.

Nature was our home.

As the son of a farmer, I learned very early that every crop depends on the environment.

Without healthy soil, there is no farming.

Without water, there is no harvest.

Without trees, rainfall decreases.

Without biodiversity, agriculture suffers.

The health of a farmer depends upon the health of nature.

As I grew older, I noticed that villages were slowly changing.

Many old trees disappeared.

Urbanization expanded.

Temperatures became higher.

Rainfall patterns became unpredictable.

Climate change was no longer something we heard about in newspapers.

We experienced it in our own fields.

This made me think deeply.
